Is it possible to move OS to SSD

Okay, so I am considering buying an SSD. I currently have just one 1TB WD Blue HDD. I am wondering if it is possible to move my OS to a new SSD. I do not want to have to reinstall everything, and I can not clone the whole drive, I have too many games for that. Basically I want my OS on an ssd and my 1TB to be my game/media storage. But this will not be possible without wiping my HDD and starting fresh will it? I just hate the idea of having to re-download over 100GB of game data, my internet is less than ideal.

Yes you can migrate your OS. Most SSDs come with software to help you do it and there are free options available online. I never have personally done it so I don't know for sure what ones to use but I know it can be done.

A fresh install is usually always best.

If you get say a Samsung Retail ssd it'll come with with migration software in which you can do whatever you like. Other brand come with software too but the samsung app is foolproof for 99% of people.

Coming from someone with 3Mb/s down, just do a clean install. It doesn't take that long. As far as your games, take the time to look at how much you really play them. If you haven't played it in 2 weeks, don't bother redownloading. The ones you do decide to download, let them run at night or while you are at work/school.
