Ok, so I was looking into a program know as UNetbootin, where it allows you to install Ubuntu straight on to your HDD or SDD. So, i don't know much about linux as i am fairly new, Is it possible/safe to dual boot Windows 10 and Ubuntu this way? Or should i just get off my lazy ass and go buy a USB stick? Thanks TS forums!
Well, not quite sure what this does, but pretty sure its just like pendrive. You only need a 4gb USB to make a bootable Ubuntu thumb drive. Sure you don't have one lying around?
Given an OS image and an USB stick, unetbootin creates a bootable USB drive with the OS you chose inside.
If you don't have a spare USB laying around, grab a CD or a DVD and burn the Ubuntu image in it.
I'm sure I do somewhere, thanks for the advice
The USB* is a must have, when stuff goes wrong, it's what makes a truly impossible problem a walk in the park.
*You can burn the install .iso to a DVD if you like, that's just as fine. You just need to be sure you have a live something. USB or DVD, same thing.
