Is it even worth it?

Hey y'all, recently I got this laptop: http://www.futureshop.ca/en-ca/product/toshiba-toshiba-satellite-l40d-14-laptop-white-amd-a4-6210-500gb-hdd-6gb-ram-windows-8-1-l40d-b-001/10298972.aspx?path=67d504ab7fa99ade1fba56e2803463f0en02

It has an a4-6210 with ddr3L memory clocked at 1600mhz. I was wondering if it was possible to over clock the ram in the laptop to get more graphics performance. I know for desktop apu's logan did a video showing that faster ram does improve graphic performance a lot. So would the same happen for a laptop? If so, how would I go along with over clocking my ram?

I would say no.

Any reason to why you think its not worth it?

BTW, nice profile pic ;)

Edit: I just noticed I didn't post the link correctly. Here it goes again:

Increased heat?  Likely negligible performance increase that would likely be negated when the system throttles due to that heat?  Laptops in general run just about as hot as they can without shutting down, and your plan is to introduce more potential heat.  We're talking about a cheap laptop with a cheap cooling solution that's not really expected to do much, especially where games are concerned.  Definitely not worth it.

RAM cooling in laptops is nonexistant. They stack the RAM sticks on top of eachother leaving absolutely no room for airflow, and most of the time the RAM is running near max temperature. So overclocking the memory in a laptop would be a terrible idea, and likely result in damaging the machine.

Darn, I wasn't expecting these types of responses. But st least now I know the truth and I won't attempt to overclock my ram. Thank you :3
