Is HSA in Ubuntu yet?

I have a laptop with a Kaveri APU and has Ubuntu in it. i would like to know if Ubuntu will have it now or in the future?

Should do, Fedora had it back in v20 (2013/14) as far as I understand.
BUT you may need a custom kernel for it, I am unsure

Did ya get that laptop recently? Mainly asking because carrizo is out and you'd be better off with a laptop that has carrizo in it.

no, it has kaveri.

It looks like Ubuntu 14.04 has support at the moment according to their GitHub page.
