Is Extra $ On SLI Worth It?

I currently own an evga gtx760 4gb card. Yes I've heard over and over 4gb is useless on a card like this. My question is I'm planning on upgrading to a SLI configuration. I'm trying to figure out weather I should get a 2gb card to save some money. I'm fairly new to all of this. Can cards as long as their the same core card, mine being a gtx760, even SLI in the first place. Should I spend The extra money to have two 4gb cards or not is my big question.

I believe for SLI to work you need to have the same memory on both cards.

Tbh honest with you I tried Crossfire once and it was terrible. Some games it worked really well got a 70% to 85% frame rate boost. Others I got worse than with a single card. Not to mention turning it on and off and all the driver issues. SLI is about the same. They both suffer from the same problems.

If you need the extra performance it is best to just buy a higher end card.

Its worth it but its not going to be without issues. Heres a little something i learned the hard way. Make sure there is good spacing between the cards for airflow or you will just burn up the top card quickly.
