Is a Radeon 6670HD still good enough to use?

I'm planning on what to get for a new computer and I'm curently facing a dilema.

I'm building for somewhat from 780$ to 970$ range computer and since I'm going for FX8320 and 990fx sabertooth r2 combo I kinda don't wanna spend more on a new card since I still think it does well for me.

I'm no extremist but I'm thinking I can upgrade it as time passes. I do some gaming but I don't need to max out everything just to get that satisfaction

tl;tr

Is a 6670 good to keep to save up for other parts?

it's last gen's low-end gpu. you can probably limp along on it for a little while, but your going to need to upgrade eventually.

Yeah but not really. IDK why you would have a 6670 with a 970 dollar budget. I guess if you need  a bunch of HDDs or SSDs then yeah and maybe a awesome case and a legit windows OS or even a monitor.

Well back to your 6670, It well play new games but not 2013 games on good settings. (goodsettings means 720p med-high) I would reccomend you atleast getting a 7850 or 7770.

I think he's saying that he's starting a new build and that's the card he already had from his old one.

Are your games graphically intensive? Are you playing on multiple monitors? Do you care about graphics settings on max?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, then upgrade

I think my games are equal or even maybe more cpu demanding. I work with up to 4 monitors, but I usually have two on, and when I play I just use one, the other one is still on but its just for screenspace, like chrome, skype, steam, vpn, computer monitoring etc. And no I don't really care for graphics as long as it dosent look like quake and there is no lag.

I played Crysis, Crysis Warhead and Crysis 2 on this card and I had a shit load of lag but it was good enough for me. some thing like borderlands kills when something massive is going on and say in TeamFortress I have it on low as posible couse I play intensive and I dont need lag at any time.

well since my CPU now is a 939 socket AMD Athlon 64 x2 +4200 OC to 2.5Ghz I think I dont need to spend all that money on a new card to impress myself.

Do you think a low standarts, mid gamer would last half a year or more with it?

SO MANY QUESTIONS!!!!!!!

780$ to 970$ budget, a FX8320 CPU and no GPU............ Where is all the money on your build going?

Why are you getting the 990fx sabertooth R2 if you cant even afford a new generation lowend card?

What are you using this computer for?

well... damn... I guess I'm trying to save cash now and I'm thinking to upgrade the card a half of a year later since like I said I don't need to max out everything I play or do.

I guess I explain my budget problem by listing of what I got now:

  • AMD FX-8350 (yup, probably going for the 50 one for the OC) -290
  • Asus SaberTooth 990fx r2.0 (I want it good since I had my one board die awhile back) -536
  • Corsair Cooling H55 -195 (for the OC, since when I start demanding more i can just OC with no problems) -195
  • Kingston HyperX Beast 1866MHz 2x4GB -187
  • Corsair CX750W 80+Bronze -290
  • Segate Pipeline HD 1TB -244
  • Random ATX case -56
  • Viewsonic 22" LED -360

Total with 8320 + Monitor= 2410 LTL

Total with 8350 + Monitor= 2503 LTL

Total with 8320 = 2143 LTL

Total with 8350 = 2050 LTL

So if I'm gonna need to buy a monitor I don't want to spend more on a new card since it did good for me till now.

oh yeah the number are in my curency LTL so just smash "2503ltl to usd" to google and see what I dont like to see already.
