Is a cache-ing SSD worth it?

Hello. First post so I'm not sure how this will go, but here goes...

I have a pretty nice set up, a 240gb SSD as my boot drive and being the gamer I am a 3tb barricuda for storage. So my question is, is it worth me getting a cheap cache-ing ssd for my hard-drive like a corsair accelerator to speed up my gaming? I'm not really that fused about price, but would I really see any preformance improvements when gaming, because my OS is already on an SSD?

Thanks

Getting a cache SSD will sure speed up your HDDs performance and really kill the loading times on your HDD. But you won't notice any performance boost on files/system/software that are on your 240GB SSD.

Which motherboard do you have?

I have an ASUS p8z77-v deluxe

defrag-ing the hdd helps; as well as maintaining 1/8 to 1/4 free space to allow your system to use it as additional cache. Also, running fancy windows aero is a sure way to slow down any system. Try setting it at windows basic or windows 2000 Desktop personilization style. Sadly, ssd + ssd = more ssd.
