Is a 750 watt psu enough for two hd7970s?

So basicly I need to know if a 750watt psu is enough for two hd7970s. I have a fx 8350, one barracuda hdd, about 8 fans including the ones on the cpu cooler, 8gb of 1866 ram at 1.5v, and a string of led lights. I would like to oc the gpus to as hi as i can with out raising the voltage.

this is my psu

this one costs 23 bucks more for 850 watts:

I already own the 750watt but if i do need to get a bigger one i will consider that.

750W should be enough.  If you want to get a better idea of how much power you need, here's a power calculator from Thermaltake.

I would get a bigger PSU just in case because you are pushing it slighty and if your overclocking then you might have issues.

with an OC'd 8350 or Socket 2011 processor, no its not enough, with 1155 however, you should have enough power in a 750Watt psu for all that.

should be ok. oc you cpu and the load on the psu will skyrocket though. as too will overclocking both gpu's.

i would only run that setup for as long as it took me to save up for a nice, seasonic/corsair/silverstone/xfx unit. around the 860w mark.

also take into consideration that psu's power output degrades over time. so leave yourself enough headroom.

I would go for a 850 watt man. sounds like you'd really be pushing it if you're overclocking it.

ok ill start watching to see if i can find one on sale. How may watts would I need to power three hd 7970s?

To be sure just get a 1000W PSU and never think about it again.

a 7970 will go arround 300W on full load, so 2 you gonne get on upto 600. its tight but it probably  could be enough. cause you wont use them constantley maxedout..
