Is a 4k, IPS, 32+", freesync monitor, <$500 too much to ask for?

Seriously though. I have been waiting for years to get a monitor upgrade because I need to have the perfect set of features and checkboxes in order to justify it. Monitors don't get upgraded that often, so I would need to plan to keep it for a long time in order to warrant the purchase. Those features are what I need in order to "know" that I wouldn't need to upgrade again any time soon. Samsung and Seiki promised us 4k freesync displays in Q1 (iirc). Still waiting.

yes. Its too much To ask for. Acer and BenQ both have 1440P free-sync monitors that are $500 plus dollars already. 4k would be a stretch.

their are a few 4k monitors in the uk with amds freesync but their not 32 the only ones ive found that are less than £500 are 28 so you could try to get them sent to the us and live with a 28 inch one

You can get a 4k monitor for that, but forget about IPS. I'm not sure what Freesync requires from the monitor, not sure if that's possible.

I am confident that it will become a reality eventually. I've been playing the waiting game for a while though.
