Is 450w really enough?

G'day everyone just wondering because i am new to the pc scene, I am building a Basic mid range gaming computer and i am not sure if 450w of power is enough?. So if anyone can please tell me if 450w is enough for the components i am about to run, please let me know. :)

Here Are My Spec's Thankyou: I added the case and accesories in there, i know that dosent affect the power supply, just thought i would include everything in the build. :)

CPU: Intel Core I3 3220

CASE: CoolerMaster K380

PSU: Corsair VS450

HDD: Western Digital Blue 500GB

GPU: Asus geforce GTX650 1GB

RAM: 1 stick of Corsair Vengence 4GB

MOTHERBOARD: AsRock H77 Pro4 MVP

FANS: Most likely 3 fans in total.

Thankyou...

Use PC part picker, choose all those parts, and see how much power is needed. But most likely it'll work. I've seen a guy use 8GB of ram, i3, and a 7850 and it was a 430 watt power supply.

PcPartPicker has a terrible calculator.

450W is more than enough. You'd be good with 300.

So why do GPU's say to get at least "X" amount of power, like how some say 600w, some say 450, etc?

That's for the total system. They over-estimate for safety.

Totally different question but can you run gddr5 on a asrock h77 pro4 mvp motherboard?

No, you need DDR3 memory for that board. GDDR5 is for GPUs.

Yeah i no that i need DDr3 For the ram im talking about, can i use GDDr5 on that board because i am going to run a Asus Geforce gtx650 that has GDDr5.

Yeah, it will work.

With this configuration most definitely yes. You can not buy GDDR5, GDDR5 is implemented memory on a GPU. There is no questioning the ability of motherboards being able to support GDDR5 because you can not add it to a motherboard.

The box of your GPU will most certainly say something like:" This GPU requires a 600W PSU " the small letters will tell you something like:" in combination with a Intel Core i7-xxxx ".

Manufactures always assume that you are going to buy a Core i7 because this is the most power demanding/consuming CPU in the Intel processor line (in comparison to an i3-xxxx and i5-xxxx).

Yes but in the near future you might need moar power lol Its fine for now.

Its more than enough even a 350 watts id ok
