IPS Gaming Monitor

Hi, can anyone help me out i'm trying to pick a monitor but i pretty much only want IPS, i will be doing a lot of gaming, does anyone have any suggestions?

no need to have the double post. leave this one in build a pc

If you are single monitor gaming ips doesn't really make a difference. but ips offers better angles for multi-moniotor setups

watch this.     and this

Yeah sorry, IPS will mean better colour contrast and richer picture

but might lack responce time, and will come at a higher cost.

Expensive, but sooo worth it! I went from an Eyefinity setup, triple 23"s, to a Dell U3011, single 30", but I couldn't be happier. Everything is vivid, bright, and its awesome for gaming. Got to love tax returns.

Only about 5ms which to me isn't a big deal, and it's only €30 more expensive than the TN panel i had chosen, even though it's a 1920x1080 still makes a a huge difference over TN

I have Asus VS239H-P and it's nice. It's not the best gaming IPS monitor in the world, but for the price, it surely is a good bang for the buck. I'm quite satisfied with it, I play BF3 and Black Ops 2, and everything looks fine and so much better than my old TN monitor. However, I don't really recommend it for a triple monitor setup because the bezel is quite thick.

Im looking at the LG-IPS277L-BN  its a nice looking ips panel, there is also a 23 inch version  from it.

there are some revieuws on youtube about it also  where games played on that monitor. and im intressted in it ☺

The colors are richer, but some of the IPS monitors have lousy blacks.

Also, they are not "slower" in therms of how much ms are they rated for, but for the Imput Lag, a value that you get to know once you buy the monitor. There are plenty of reviews that measure the imput lag as well as the rest of the monitor. Look out for those.

As for IPS gaming monitors, I suggest this Acer one, the colors looks great, the ms is low, as well as the imput lag. It's also pretty cheap. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009483&Tpk=acer%2023%22%20IPS&IsVirtualParent=1

It also features a thin vessel, so you can go Eyefinity like a boss.

You were certainly right about it being cheap, but I don't know if Newegg ships internationally *I live in Ireland*, also I think I want 27" and I am very interested in the Asus MX279H.
