Anyone here playing ioquake3, and have experience with custom configs?
I was reading through this guide:

I’ve copied in the q3config.cfg file from the Steam q3 folder into the ioquake3 baseq3 folder since it didn’t exist in there. I also tried updating the q3config.cfg file in C:\Users<user>\AppData\Roaming\Quake3\baseq3 folder just in case it was using that [ioquake3 map downloads are put into this folder, and their was a q3config.cfg file there]. I tried setting them as read only to make sure the engine wasn’t modifying afterwards, but no luck.
It launches at 648x480, ignoring the 1080p setting in the cfg file. Can’t figure it out. :\
