Internet Router

Hello everyone

I am looking for a router 100$ or less that has dual band. Just looking for some good options to improve my wifi speeds

Thanks!

Every router that has b/g/n is technically dual band, so you're looking for 802.11n routers. When looking for a router, I suggest in parallel to check the dd-wrt/openwrt database of supported routers. A custom firmware on a quality router goes a long way.

Every router that has 802.11n is what you're looking for.

if you buy any linksys/cisco routers stay away from the models that have the marvell chipsets unless you like rebooting your router on occassion... i disagree with that list on pcmag especially since they have the cisco e3500 on there.. that router sucks balls.. that series was only good when it had the broadcom chipset which was the e3200.. e3200 will stay up a year without having to reboot it, the e3500 will progressively get slower until you have to reboot it.. usually weekly and will occassionally drop your wifi connections.

You can always make a router out of an old pc and spend the 100$ on a wireless NIC
