Interesting product for some of us

More AliExpress garbage? This M.2 cooler was surprisingly good - YouTube timestamped product

In the comments are comments about being interesting for m.2 accelerators. I am kinda wondering if it would work ok passively on “server” motherboards like the ones from asrockrack. He shows it is able to(almost) cool a 13600k, so would that extra cooling help with with “high” usage m.2? like a zfs metadata device or m.2 accelerator? interesting questions, but he isn’t server/workstation focused.

I’m not sure that I would want to put this in an m.2 slot under the GPU.

SSD heat is just one more reason why getting rid of cases with side panel fans in favor of boring tempered glass panels was a mistake. You can’t have a truly airflow focused case without a side panel fan.

Usually server MoBos don’t have the M.2 under the GPU.

indeed, specifically end up with something like https://asrockrack.com/general/productdetail.asp?Model=B550D4U#Specifications where the m.2 is “in front of” the cpu. on a side note, why would they completely remove the intel 10gig versions of all their boards?

I was speaking from a regular consumer perspective. I would also like to keep the temps on my SSD’s as low as possible. Currently, side panel fan is the easiest and most practical solution.

More AliExpress garbage? This M.2 cooler was surprisingly good - YouTube might work better for you, i don’t think its bigger than what is often on m.2 slots ABOVE the pcie x16 slot, but it might cool better

and yes, that IS a different link to a different one he examined in his video
