Interesting Connector

I recently took apart my OCZ Vertex 4 (128Gb) boot drive, mostly for kicks and giggles. I found an intesting connector on the opposite side from the SATA connector and was wondering if anyone knows what it is. Here is a link to a picture, the connector is in the top of the photo

apears to be an m-sata connector

Yes, that's Msata.

Wow, that's pretty awesome. That's what I thought, but I wasn't sure, thanks.

Interesting. But what sort of application would this mSATA be use of? You have the standard SATA connectors at the other end and I do not see that this could fit in tight spaces, such as some ultrabooks that accept this connection, given the size of the board and the said SATA connectors.

You know what would be really great... If the said connector is msata and you connected by connectors simultaneously to two machines just to see what would happen

I don't have anything that accepts MSATA otherwise I would try this.
