Interested in a handheld Linux terminal?

So, what if i tell you that could have a device with

  • 7inch touch screen display
  • Front and back camera
  • removable and battery
  • 2 full size usb port
  • 1 full size VGA port
  • stereo speaker
  • stereo mic
  • headphone jack
  • SD card reader
  • extra “joystick like” mouse
  • physical keyboard
  • Wifi & Bluetooth
  • 1 Ethernet port
  • Simcard slot and 3g networking

i’m sure i’v missed a lot, but that is what i have in a 9.0x4.9x0.9 inches handheld from 2008, the Samsung Q1 ultra
Right now, i’v upgrade the rrd2 sodim ram to 2gb, and change the slow zif hdd for a m.2 sata one, but it’s still an old device, with a 32bit proc.

To my eyes, this device was a flop at it’s time because it’s not useful for a classic user, but i want to remake it with today hardware in order to loose weight and gain battery life and performance. But i was wondering, am i alone ? How many people around here would be interested in such a device ? Are you all OK with touchscreen keyboard on android device ? or do you always carry a full size laptop with you ?

I’ve for the longest of time have wanted a modern Linux handheld. Many people are with you; The Pyra looks really interesting and the more recent Planet Gemini. So your definitely not the only one. I personally would love it.
