Intel SRT with Windows 8 already installed

I've just fitted an ADATA XPG SX900 SSD into my system, alongside my Seagate Barracuda 1TB, hoping to run Intel SRT, however I'd rather not get a BSOD at first due to setting up RAID without Windows recognising the SSD.

The only posts that I can find are for Windows 7 (setting up Intel SRT without reinstalling Windows), so I'm just wondering if I still need to make registry changes in Windows 8, or if the process can just be done via changing the UEFI settings from AHCI to RAID now?

I have checked and Intel RST recognises the SSD even though Windows does not.

Thanks in advance for any help! :D

For anyone that's interested, I ended up running msconfig -> safe boot minimal, boot into BIOS and change SATA mode to RAID. I then booted into windows, checked that there is an intel storage controller and then ran msconfig -> safe boot off -> reboot

at first intel srt didn't work. I reinstalled it, rebooted and I now have acceleration with no need for a windows 8 reinstall!
