Intel RMA

So I have had to deal with intel RMA a grand total of 3 times now and all have been horrible and slow. First time many years ago with a p4 cpu, then about 6 months ago helping a friend get their pc going and now a week ago for my personal pc. I have also had some other people who I recommended they send the cpu in (their chip was bad) also had the same issues I have had. Its been ridiculous on how long it takes to get an rma number.

At this point I am pretty sure they are not automated in returning of items or am I crazy? Anyone else have to deal with rma with them? Any tips for dealing with their RMA? I try and give as much info on what actually has been tested.

Heres what I currently have in my list of times that I have in my email
Asus it was about 24 hours to get an rma number and addy
Gksill was about 48 hours
AMD was about 12 hours (note ive only ever had to return one of their cpus once)
EVGA was about 24 hours

Also strange side note, all of these intel chips have failed at random and except for the ol p4 none of these were oc’d when they died.

I don’t think I ever had an intel CPU die and I’ve seen a few. I know there have been some recalls with atom processors recently but those mainly went into firewalls and similar equipment.

Okay, yeah I saw something about that. Just seems strange, maybe I have bad luck with intel chips XD well about 3 weeks after I started talks with Intel I finally got a chip back and so far its WAY better. I could not even touch the xmp settings on the memory and now I can use both profiles without it immediately crashing. So there is hope this is a good cpu.
