fx 8350. the i7 only has 4 cores.
depends on what you wanna do.
if you game go for the 8350
if you stream go with the 8350 100%.
if you edit maybe the i7 but the fx 8350 is better overall i think. and you can overclock it very nice.

Thanks for the info mate and my PC is for gaming :D but which one of these processors would be better for future proof ?
There is no such thing as 'future proof' whats your budget for a new computer and do you need any outher things like os,keyboard and mouse ect
well, games are using more and more cores. 4 cores if enough but the fx 8350 is better in my opinion. ps4 and xbox have amd 8 core cpu so the games are made for those. fx 8350 wil become better and better in gaming and it is way way cheaper than a i7. if you want an intel than go for the i5. an i7 isn't better at gaming. hyperthreading is usefull for rendering. wath linus techtips or techquickie i believe it's called. fx 8350 has the same or maybe 5 fps less than an i7 but it isn't worth the 120$ more. on the new games like bf4 it is almost the same and sometimes better so it is up to you.
conclusion: fx 8350. 5ps more for 120$ more? save some money and buy a better mobo or a gpu.
My budget is £1200 on the PC by itself
Go for the Fx8350 and spend the left over ~ £100 on a better GPU.
For gaming there is not going to be a big difference between and i7 and fx 8350. Most modern games are GPU heavy. The GPU is what will give you the most FPS/£
Thanks that was really helpful :D
Well £1200 is a lot have a look at what you can buy with each AMD and intel.

don't buy the 7990. just don't. go for 2x 7970. the 7990 is just 2 7970 on a lower clock speed, it gets extreemly hot. go with 2 280x msi 235 pound each. the fx 9*** is also crap. it is a fx 8350 on a 5ghz oc but you can reach that on your own. 750 watt for a fx 9*** and a 7990 is a bit less. 7990 is 600watt and a fx 9 series 220wat so there you go.
fx 8350
h100i
asus sabertooth 2.0
280x toxic (270 pounds i believe now) 2x is 540 pounds
1866mhz gskill cas8 hyperX 75 pounds
Corsair RM1000 144 pounds, it is enough+5 year warranty. always good to have
ssd: hyperx kingston. from a vid of logan. it is crazy fast. 555 mb reading. and cheap. 120gb is enough for 1 game and a operating system
rest is up to you. i don't know what kind of case you prefer but keep in mind. the 280x is 308mm. and make sure a h100i fits in the case. i prefer nzxt tempest (elite)
oc that cpu to a nice 4.5 ghz if you want. it will run cool and stable if you have a good setup( google/youtube/this awesome forum) are you best friends)
If you overclock a FX8350 to the same as the FX 9370 it will be the same TDP yes you (maybe able to overclock a FX8350 TO the same speeds but its now unlikely due to these chips being higther bined so fx 8350 chips that used to be good overclockers are now factory clocked as 9370s)
Depends what you whant you can gamble on overclocking a FX8350 to 4.7 for £140 or spend £30 more to have it overclocked out the box with premium silicone...yes the FX9370 IS now a viable option now the price has dropped from crazy to afordable (its now the same price as a i5 3570k in the uk)
Gpu's well thats debatable haveing 2 cards next to eachouther one of those suckers are going to be on fire and one is going to be cooler.
Thanks to all of you this information is really helpful :P
i don't know if you have some money left over from my build. but buy some fans if you want for better arflow. noctua is the top line for fans. your running 2 cards so 1 gets pretty hot. more fans for beter airflow is always a plus and can't be a bad thing if you set the directions correctly.
wel in my country the fx 9370 is 300€ which is 2x a fx 8350. so that's why
Not in the uk ^_^ FX8350 = £140 FX 9370 = £170
I also made 2 options. an amd and an intel option, from which i think this will serve you very well. offcourse a case is something personal, i selected a sleek one. AMD is offcourse the cheaper option.
