Intel NUC w/ Thunderbolt = Gaming potential?

I was flying around the internet then I saw a Intel NUC with a thunderbolt. So in my messed up little mind thought if I should get one, get a full length PCI-E thunderbolt enclosure and run a graphics card in that enclosure. That would make an insane HTPC.

Well, it's certainly not going to be the fastest gaming experience in it's current form. PCIe 2.0 delivers a max of 4 Gbit/s transfer rate per lane and Thunderbolt 2 runs at a maximum of 20 Gbit/s. And since 20/4=5, that's not all that fast.
