Hey Guys,
I have an Intel Core i7-920 2.66Ghz processor which I salvaged out of a desktop PC. The PC was in perfect working order, but my friend used parts from it to complete his PC (RAM, Disk Drive, extra fans, that kinda thing). Anyways, he let me keep the processor because he has no need for it as he was doing an AMD build. The processor has since been resting on my desk, untouched, for a bit over a month.
My question is, is it a CPU worth selling, and if so, how much should I ask for it? I've looked closely at the unit, and it all looks fine to me. Like, no cracks, scratches, dents, broken connecter pad or whatever they are called (gold pads on the bottom of the processor). I just want to know if I should sell it, trash it, or offer it up as a swap for some smaller items like, two or four gigabytes of RAM, or just whatever.
I have since bought an AMD fx-8320 processor and installed that into my computer, so I put the i7 into the 8320's package, just for a bit of safety just incase.
Thankyou in advance :)
