Intel Atom

I am in need of a cheap PC for my work on the go as I will be going to a business trip to America for a bit and don't want to take my main desktop PC with me.

Instead I found a Atom-based laptop for £150 and I have already ordered it but I was wondering...

Would this be able to play non-demanding games like; Minecraft, Sims 1,2,3,4, Minesweeper.

I saw MSI's website and it said that the laptop has an on board integrated Intel GMA 3650, 1GB of DDR3 memory (I will be upgrading to 4), 16MB of graphics RAM, Windows 7 started 32 bit and finally a 500GB Western Digital Blue.

Thanks in advance.

Simple answer: No. No games what so ever.

Are You Sure?

because every game in the planet will use more than 16mb of gpu ram. I would say that you need at least 512mb-1gb of gpu ram for any game

RedEclipse should work reasonably well at lower resolution. Also Doom on linux, Chocolate Doom, etc... should work just fine on an Atom. It works on my netbook with an Atom N450 chip.

Not anything new.

Most netbooks are only capable of taking a maximum of 2 GB of RAM. I'd check to make sure before you upgrade.

And it's almost always only single channel as well.

I would think the sims 1 and 2 should be fine. A bunch of gog stuff also. Just not much modern stuff.
