Intel 4000 FPS estimates?

Hello I'm new here also new to computer specs and what all goes on but have played PC and console for a fairly long time. I recently ordered a new dell laptop because my old desktop.. Blew up and I need something for tasks. I do plan on gaming on it however I understand you should get a dedicated card if you really want performance. The biggest game I'm gonna play is arma 2 dayz and wasteland mods. Now I don't care about settings as long as I can get playable frames here's what I'm Geting:

  • 2.5GHz Intel Core i5-3210M dual-core processor with 3MB cache
  • Intel HM77 chipset
  • 17.3" diagonal HD widescreen display
  • 6GB DDR3 1600MHz memory
  • 1TB 5400 RPM hard drive
  • Thanks for reading as I said as long as I can get playable frames ill be fine

The link i provided shows some gaming FPS scores for quite a various amount of different games. Scroll down about 1/4 of the page to see it.

Not sure if this will help, but Intel HD 3000 graphics runs Batman: Arkham Asylum just fine at med settings 720p. I was getting 20FPS and above. I could even max it out, but detective mode just made it too laggy for my taste. So I'm assuming 4000 is faster. I don't know how taxing the games you mentioned are, but Batman is pretty taxing.

Thanks for the replys, now I've seen people say they can run it but my buddy's laptop with an i5 6gb of ram & a 7670 I belive only gets around 25 FPS. I've seen people claim just as much if not more with a similar setup as mine. hopefully someone has some experience with this if not guess ill have to see first hand

intel 3000> gtx 690

Quite.

VIA S3 IGP> Intel 3000> GTX 690

I cAn PlaY CrySiS On My DEll FroM 2000!!!111!!!!!!!!!!

But will it run Minesweeper?

nah brah, ONLY THE NSA CAN RUN MINESWEEPER.

i understand the sarcasm but the S3 Chrome 540GTX GPU is about equal to 9600GT with support for DirectX 10.1 and OpenGL 5.0, and the upcoming chrome 600 series is supposed to be around the AMD 6570 with the lower end, and equivalent to the 7770 at the high end

not much, but a definite improvement for S3, their IGP still lags behind though
