Ok guys I have recently just finished building my first gaming PC and installed Windows 8 Pro. These are my specs of the computer, GigaByte Z77N-WIFI, Intel i5 3570K, 8GB of GDDR3 1600 MHz, 120GB SSD, 1TB HDD and a GTX 660 Ti SC, not sure whether it will factor in my issue but I thought it may help I don't know.
Anyway, so I installed Windows 8 Pro 64 bit on my SSD and everything started up and ran perfectly. I started installing programms on my PC like Steam, Office 365, Chrome and other programs and when I had the option I would install the secondary storage unit which would be the 1TB HDD. After doing this I noticed that program data and other forms of data would still save to the SSD. Now I did some reading on this and I found you can change the directory in which programs would install automatically to the HDD using 'regedit' in the RUN program.
This has fixed a couple of the issues I was having but I still think tempory files are still being stored on the SSD. I am now also having problems loading programs like Steam, it no longer opens when you click on the Steam icon in either the Startscreen or Start menu in STartIsBack. The program files install on the HDD like Firefox and works really well but Chrome auto installed on the SSD and same thing happened with the office files.
Everything seems to be a mess so what do I need to do?
Please help and thanks in advance.
