Installing Windows 8.1 Pro onto a Brand new Machine

Hello Tek Syndicate Community,

I recently purchased and downloaded Windows 8.1 Pro for Students from Microsoft.com and received my Product Key and an executable file titled "WindowsSetupBox.exe." My question is this. What do I have to do to install this OS onto an SSD that I will be using in a brand new machine? Can I simply drop "WindowsSetupBox.exe" onto an 8GB usb stick and point to it during the setup of my new system, or will something more complicated be required?

You should be able to run the exe and make a bootable usb drive from it

Thanks for the help. I ran the exe and I am downloading the OS right now. I have zero experience with installing operating systems/using the BIOS interface. I'm building my own computer for the first time.
