Title says it all. I installed Android x86 (kitkat 4.4.4) on a 2009 Macbook Pro.

May I ask why android 5.1 would not work?

I'm getting one of these macbooks soon. I can get one for 50 bucks with good hardware. Might try this!

Just looking at the Androidx86 site, there doesn't seem to be a 5.x version out yet.
