Installing a cursor in Arch

I'm having trouble getting my cursor working in Arch with Gnome 3. I wish to use the Breeze cursor. I extracted the folder into usr/share/icons and selected it in gnome tweak tool. It only partially works. It'll show the cursor in anything gnome related. So, in the panel, app menue, terminal, ect but, not on the desktop or any programs like chromium or gedit. It'll show in nautilus but, not files.

There is probably something I'm missing, some path or other that isn't linked. Any ideas to fix this for me?

Create this file index.theme in your /usr/share/icons/default/ and add this line 

[icon theme]
Inherits=$THEME_NAME

And then change your cursor theme with Gnome Tweak Tool and do a reboot and see if definitely works for you!
