Installed new ram, now PC wont boot OS. Help!

Put another 2GBs of ram into my computer now the OS wont work.
All Ram in my computer is ddr2 and 800mhz but when i went to put another 2gbs in (total of 8gbs) the OS wont boot

I have

-changed the boot priority. Still doesnt work.

- reset the motherboard by taking out the battery . Still doesnt work.

-swapping the ram around . Still doesnt work.

the only way i can get it to boot windows 7 again is by taking out the new ram
any help appreciated.

  • Try with just the single stick of the new RAM. If it fails to boot then you bought dead RAM or for whatever reason it isnt supported by your motherboard (unlikely but possible).
  • One of your ram slots is flaky.
  • CPU is on its way out.
