Install Fedora 24

I would like to install Fedora 24 on a new clean SSD on a UEFI one year old laptop.
Windows 10 came loaded and I want to get rid of it.
Any one aware of any problems that may crop up?
Thanks.

Only thing I can think of you may have to go into your BIOS once Fedora is installed and allow Shim for secure boot. But you may not have to do that, I know I did on an Acer Laptop, but it mostly works pretty straight forward.

Only quirk might be to get the live media to boot in uefi mode (fedora should have no problem tho)
How familiar are you with linux? Are you saying you're pulling out the hard drive from the laptop, putting in a new ssd and then installing Fedora on it?

I used to have issues recognizing wifi cards with Fedora on older laptops. Just changed it out for one that was known to be Linux compatible. What model laptop are you using? There are some issues with ultra cheap laptops when installing another OS.

Fedora has a uefi live boot mode. It should work fine. @Mr_Plutonium is on point. It's worth checking the laptop specs to make sure everything's compatible

I haven't figured out how to reply to individual messages so I'll try to address your replies here.
I'm between beginning and intermediate Linux experience, but unfortunately many years with MS. I started on MS-DOS. hardware no issues. The hard drive with Windows will be pulled out in case I need it for some reason down the road. I'd rather install an SSD anyway.
Thanks to everyone for their input !!

Since it's a modern laptop, I'm sure it will be 100% fine, but you can always check out the drivers for each device yourself to see what possible issues there may be.

Keep us updated. Any issues, well try and help.

What laptop is it?
