Insomnium finished recording, mixing, and all that crap for their next album, Across The Dark, this week. They have set a release date for the 7th of September (ahh so fucking far!!) and released an e-card (samples of a few songs). Here you can listen to it:

From these previews it seems a little bit faster than their previous work, as they have stated. The album is supposed to have been an little evolution of their usual work, while keeping their dark, melodic, aggressive roots.
It's a definite pre-order for me.Â

Yes. Their other stuff sounds similar, the first one, "In the Halls of Awaiting" have quite a lot of acoustic parts but it's an amazing album nonetheless, it's the same genre and has the same unique sound to Insomnium. The second one, "Since the Day it All Came Down" has less acoustic parts. The third one, "Above the Weeping World", is fucking amazing, it's easily my favorite Melodic Death Metal album of all time and is in my top 3 albums ever.

Above the Weeping World is INSANE.
I was actually quite a surprised how good it was, whole album is pure gold.
Well, that's my opinion but i think you all gonna like it or you already do. 
You understand now why I'm so hyped about the new album coming in September? :D
