Insane 1080p Gaming PC for $1000

The only restrictions to the build are that it needs to match with everything else and if possible keep it at or under $1000. I'm going with a black and red color scheme (which is everywhere!!!!!!!!)

$1200 max.

I will be using this PC for Gaming, Editing, Streaming, and a little bit of coding.

I've posted others like this, but since I started college money is a bit tight I can only factor this in because I will be using this daily to do my school work and other projects in the future.

This build we be built over time, since I can't afford to get all of the parts in one shot.

I have all the peripherals already so those don't need to be factored into the price.

All help and recommendations and criticism is welcome.

fast.red.not too expensive

This will handel 1080p gaming and editing(thanks to the 8 threats) with no problem.

I havent inculded a cooler yet as you can always buy one later if you have enought money.

Personally, I'd improve the quality of the build by opting for an AMD 8350, and a cheaper, but still high quality motherboard. This way, the extra money could make its way into the case, a NZXT S340 would work perfectly, and the PSU, preferably something from SeaSonic or Corsair.

Maybe something like this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/ymFTqs

I also threw on a 212 EVO for good measure. :)

The Xeon beats the 8350 in EVERYTHING. I can tell, because I have worked with both.

Since the Xeon is not overclockable, an H97 mainboard is fine.

If the budget is 1000$, I'd ditch the 280x for a GTX970 or an R9 290X, though.

Would a Xeon be good for streaming? Because a lot of people recommend the 8350 for it because with it's 8 cores it can handle a game at 1080p and stream it at the same time.

he put together a very strange build i think this (build i'm about to post) may fare better but will cost more. both are good options

The Xeon build is good.

This 8350 build is terrible.  Minimal cooling on the motherboard, and power delivery that won't last long under the power draw of the 8350.

Overpriced power supply.  Much higher quality and better performing units from EVGA(SuperFlower's Leadex Platform) or Seasonic can be gotten for lower prices.

Xeon E3-1231 V3 is also a lot stronger, unless you overclock the snot out of the 8350(which you won't due to the motherboard and cooling limitations.

this will be an excellent editing/streaming/whatever the heck you want it to be rig. take this option over the xeon suggestion if you want to overclock. also the graphics card is going to have quite a bit more oomph in this. may need to add 8gb more of ram down the road for editing, maybe. depends on what exactly you're doing. if you want to cut costs kickass.to is having a special on windows ;)

The Xeon E3-1231 V3 is essentially an i7 with no integrated graphics and no GPU.  The only real performance difference is in clockspeed - a 4790k is clocked at 4ghz, a 4790 is at 3.6, and this Xeon is at 3.4.  I've got personal experience with the Xeon E3-1231 V3, and it's a really good chip for gaming/editing at this price point.

As for the FX-8350, it does indeed have 8 cores(8c/8t).  However, each core is much weaker than one of Intel's cores.  The Xeon E3-1231 V3(as well as the slightly higher clocked 1241 v3) and i7s are 4 cores, but 8 threads due to hyperthreading.  Windows basically sees these chips as having 8 cores as well, and they really do perform better than the 8350(unless it's a very highly clocked 8350)

This is a good build as well, but it's a bit over budget.

i figured the xeon route was already a good suggestion for the price figured if he wanted a bit more oompf he could go with this option :3 plus he did say insane in the title >_>

Thanks for the input everyone, I will come back to this thread once I pick a build and well build it!
