So I want to build a basic computer that is at most $250 to use in my
room as a basic web browsing video watching machine I already have 2 parts to build the machine already so you can just use those parts as the partlist and you can count those 2 out of the budget:

just for rendering high quality videos. no idea what monitor you use but at work we use something similar for the 4k cameras.
Everytime people post this saaame topic. Get a NUC or MiniPC and ductape it to the monitor. i just got one of these;
https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Latest-Intel-Celeron-Quad-Core-N3150_60374012451.html?spm=a2700.7724838.0.0.rh0gdW , for a PFSense box but I also through a full ubuntu-gnome install at it and it ran decently. Kodi was even better.
It was like $150 delivered. No noise, footprint, or heat.
I have "almost" a PC of parts lying around and i still opted for this.
One or two tabs or are you like me. Sometimes I realize I have 30 tabs open and realize there is no 12 step program for my problem. If the later put the cash towards cores and memory and use trust the iGPU that comes with Haswell.
