Okay, so recently I overclocked my G.Skill TritanX RAM from stock 1600MHz to 2400MHz. Prime95 tested and stability and temps checked out. However, after loading up Minecraft, I noticed that the entirety of my Windows was running at approximately double the speed (games, browsers, animations, etc.). It defaults to normal speed when I restart the computer, but if I stress the memory before hibernating, when I pull the system back up it will be at the accelerated speed again. I've scoured the internet for answers, asked several people, and even posted the question on other forums but have yet to come back with anything. In fact, it doesn't even seem like other people have heard of something like this happening before. So, my question to you is do you know what could cause Windows to operate at higher speed? And, if so, can this be adjusted? Thanks in advance.
