Increase download speed to maximum

Here is a small guide about how to boost your download speed.

Where/How it was tested:

  1. Fiber Network (Fastweb)
  2. Linux Mint 17.3
  3. A browser download (probably may work for torrents)
  4. WiFi Connection

HOW TO DO:

  1. Start any download from any website you want
  2. Now your download speed my be something like (200 kb/s ±)
  3. Go with your browser on youtube website
  4. Open any video and leave it play
  5. At this point your download should be much faster

IF THIS DOEST PRODUCE DESIRED EFFECT
6) In firefox install addon refresh-every
7) On youtube video page set refresh rate 5 sec, or as you prefer ad enable refresh loop
8) While loop is working your download speed is boosted!!

I was able to boost an external download from( 97kb/s to 2.1mb/s)

This 'guide' is way too open-ended since there are a ton of variables that are not taken into consideration, such as the hardware used w/settings etc, site used for the file download etc, wired connection vs wifi etcetcetc.
