emospark is a near conscious A.I. That monitors everything you do.it can monitor your moods all almost times; and give feedback when needed, it’s like Google now gone crazy.
The main reason I am posting this here is I would love your feedback on, if this is real, and your thoughts on this type of technology.
All my life I have embraced technology and even some times been a little naive to the dark sides of what it can do. But this is the first time I have ever felt scared of it. Like an old man scared of smart phones or self-driving cars, kind of scared.
If I could get your opinion on this "emospark" thing it would mean the world to me.
Oh, shit, I just saw that we have the same name, hello other Timothy. The topic could be real, and the company is either stealing money or they have some pretty complex plans... Beyond me, man, sorry.
Seems like a cool concept, but the trailer just made me cringe, make like a tree, and leaf by the first demonstration (the one with the girl waiting out at night for someone). Besides, I don't want some technological being watching my movements and acting as if they're my friend when they're an inanimate object syncing throughout my devices.
yes chaquator, i agree. but the other side of this is "google now" it, or rather they do track everything you do. from internet viewing to were you go. but for some reason this strikes a scary string inside of me.
check out http://wit.ai -- this is a similar "intents" system to what I've built over the years, though wit could be a lot cooler than emospark.
I believe that I do not want this kind of thing in the cloud. I want to have all of this locally.
My system is a bit like an octopus.. it's really just an engine to feed data into a combo ai/database. Take a picture of a bill with your camera phone? It looks like a time warner bill, file it with the others? Yes. etc. Contextual Computing, let's call it.
This system on kickstarter looks to me.. too much like a money grab? Not enough details about the team doing it, not enough technical details about how it'll work. There is not enough here, at first blush, for it to pass the sniff test for me.
Not saying it's all smoke and mirrors.. I'll wait til more info is available..
What I'm working on.. my model uses things like raspberry pis as the "tentacles" just because they're cheap and I'm hoping to get other devs on board developing for it someday. The Rpis stream data back to my amd 8350 running linux.. on linux there are also cron jobs fetching feeds, and bit torrent sync syncing files with "intents" meta data. It's sooo much bailing twine, scripts and bubble gum.
But someday it might be a fun AI. I haven't taught it many commands other than automating my life.
What you are talking about sounds cool I was wondering if you could do a video about it. Just to cover what you are doing, and how you have come about doing it. And if you have your own you tube channel I would love to see what you have to show off. I am sure most of your free time goes into the Tek, but I am still interested in what you have to show off.
