So I was playing CS GO yesterday and my computer froze up. I heard a buzzing noise through the headset and nothing responded. Everything locked up on me and i had to hard reboot it. When I booted it up. It didn't go to windows and I had to open the BIOS. I booted off my SSD and windows loaded up. I logged in. Started browsing the internet. Then my computer without warning turned off. It attempted to turn back on by itself but turned back off 1 second after i heard it turn on. It then kept doing this. I turned the button for the power supply to off(the button on the back where my power supply is). I attempted to reboot it again after turning the power back on. I then had to go to the BIOS and boot off the SSD again. I started windows. Then I checked temps and all the temps were fine. after browsing the internet for 20 minutes I started up Path Of Exile. I played just fine for 20 minutes but i got odd fps drops down to 30. Then everything froze up and I heard a buzzing noise again. Then my computer got a BSOD. It tried to boot up once again and shut down after a second or 2. This is the problem i'm having and im wondering if any could help me fix it.

i haven't gotten new drivers for a month. So my graphics card would be causing windows to lock up. It's been workng fine for a month with the drivers that i have atm.
I would try run a memory test. I would also try change your psu if possible. Some other things you can try is booting into safe mode and see if it still crashes, if not... its a software issue. Hope this helps :)
i haven't OC'd anything my ram is fine and i now have the latest drivers. Works fine in safe mode. So im assuming its a software thing but the biggest change recently was downloading fallout new vegas other than that i dont know what wrong.
windows is annoying, if safemode works fine just back up your stuff using that and re-install windows. Pay attention to the software you install(and the order). If it happens again maybe you can narrow down the culprit.
well i dont usaully install too many things so i can remember from memory what was downloaded before my pc stopped working. Patches for Path Of Exile, TF2, and CS GO. I installed Fallout New Vegas. And if its relavent i uninstalled evga precision X
That doesn't sound good :o, your ram will run(by default) at one of the set standards, likely that it cannot run at 1600 without the timings being out of the standard range; either way shouldn't matter.
So your igpu works and your gfx card doesn't? try changing your gfx card to a different lane. If that doesn't work boot a linux(such as ubuntu) live cd, does the same thing happen?
Have you tried removing the graphics card completely? Once out run a memtest.
The best course is to remove as many variables as possible. Get it down to as few parts as possible. Narrows the scope of things that can be wrong. If all is okay at that point start adding parts one by one until the error happens. At that point you will have a much better idea of what is happening.
