I was recently made aware of MaidSafe (http://maidsafe.net/) via an article on Coindesk (http://ow.ly/yrDLF). It sounds like a great idea and has many clear advantages over traditional data storage methods, particularly cloud/remote storage. What vulnerabilities can you see this having? What kind of impact could this have? I certainly can see it being great not only for privacy and security but if it really caught on big it could potentially save a massive amount of energy by decreasing the data center demand. Best of all it could act as a swift kick to the dick of the feds.
Brah, these things are just proof of concepts, things that u do cause you wanna rebel against the titan corporations, they are not actually practical, like if you would turn ur head to all the shit happening the regular providers are more convenient then those decentralized internets, when a company actually put tons of time into an application like this then it will be awesome , right now these companies are making these just to prove a point
So instead of getting excited about it I guess we should just dismiss it then?
Get exited that our generation will rise against the mega corporations
