Hey TS Community,
I have a VoIP service, and some fake company is using my phone number to contact others. They use my number and call others and tell them they can lower their interest rates by pressing a key on their phone (Fake, Fake, Fake). I've received a voicemail from a pissed off guy threating me.
What can I do? I've had this phone number for 20 years, and want to cherish it since the area code is now gone. Thanks everyone!
That is a very bad situation you have stumbled into...What is the name of the VoIP serivce? Have you tried contacting support for the service? If there is nothing you can do I would ditch the number before you end up in a nightmareish situation like this one
