If you have a ISP that is not Comcast, send them a mail

Wendell has it spot on with his letter to the FCC, i have already mailed mine out. Except that i took it a step further, i sent messages and called my Local ISPs that were providing cable internet and very kindly urged them to think about the future and invest in fiber. The ISP that i get my 50mbps internet from is a local hometown ISP with the nicest tech support you'll ever talk to.(I live in Tacoma,WA and have Advanced Stream)

Thankfully I am lucky enough to have more than comcast in my area, but not so lucky to be living in Seattle with GigabitSeattle or in areas with Google Fiber.

Make a difference, and if you send a letter be very nice, and make it well constructed. Things will change eventually.

I have Frontier Commmunications, and their support is trash. Not knowledgable at all, and their three service guys I've had to work with were horrendous and rude. We get ~8mbps, which is better than the 3 we used to get. I'll be writing Frontier soon enough, and hopefully if enough of us do this we can make some sort of an impact, whether that is implemented fiber or a statement on why it "can't be done right now."

But they still won't be convinced...
