I remember you saying this before, but I had no insight at the time. However now I have gone to Linux Fedora Cinnamon and Windows 10 on the same machine (no hardware changes).
I have found that Linux seems to curb the bass response. My Windows 10 virtual machine had the same bass as Windows 7 did, and I had the same experience with having better sound on Windows 10 installed on its own.
It sounds like you have the opposite problem. It could be differences in the operating systems, or for the drivers specific to one piece of hardware being good on one OS, and bad on another.
