I don’t know how far you are into your purchase, but have you considered the ICY DOCK ToughArmor MB998IP-B? You will need at most two breakout cables.
I’m using it with a pair of cables connecting 4 SATA to 1 Mini SAS HD in reverse. If the Broadcom HBA 9500-8i Tri-Mode Storage Adapter is already a final decision, you’ll need a SFF-8654 (SlimSAS) to 2 × 4 SFF-8643 (Mini SAS HD) cable.
