thinking of buying a pc from i buy power but i am seeing alot of bad reviews along with good reviews. i would build a pc myself but im not 100 percent sure i could do it and i dont want to risk breaking 1400 dollars in parts. was just wondering if anyone has boughten from them and if there experience was good or bad. i also hear there parts are all refurbished? just looking for thoughts let me know

thanks RX

Definitely build it yourself. There isn't much you can break. You will get more for your money, it will be more fun, and it will be a better choice altogether. We can walk you through it, if you want :) IBuyPower, and all prebuilts, are charging you for a free service. Build it yourself :)

well i do think i can peice together the computer myself but theres a few things im unsure of that i would rather have someone else do like one for example i want a ssd main drive and like a hdd for main storage but im not sure how to set that up along with a os install and drivers. and im worryed if something arrives doa i wont be sure what part...

If something is DOA, the company or reseller will replace it.

To use different drives, just select the SSD when you are installing your OS, and if you have a modern OS, then the HDD will be detected and usable.

also im unsure of what size psu i would need and not sure how to connect all the wire also worryed about applieing thermal paste lol point of the story is i really dont want to break any parts or mess anything up. but i really want to play some pc games like dayz and some mmorpgs maby but i think ill go for it

thermal paste has come preapplied ,on 3 of 3 cpus I have bought, on the stock cooler. The wiring isn't complicated, the plugs only fit what they are supposed to.

Get a standard ATX sized PSU, around 300W for single GPUs, or more if you feel like wasting money.

Really, just make a slightly smaller than a grain of rice-sized line down the middle of the CPU with the TIM, and you're done.

You said $1400, right? You could fit a 4770k and a 780 in that budget :)

yeah thats about what i had planned on im not sure if the 4770k id the i7 or i5 but i planned on the i5 and yes im going all out on the gpu i want to play games on max setting hopefully with no frame drop

iv never owned a gaming pc so im not really sure what gpus can play what games so im just going to get the best one thats in my budget i wanna play dayz and arma 3 and probly some mmos

A 770 will do really well at 1080p with almost everything, excepting games like Crysis 3 and Metro: LL where the FPS is around 50. Turn down MSAA and the performance will be ~60fps or more.

The 7970 also does this really well. I don't have any benchmarks I remember but it's a really good card.

If you live near an NCIX (dunno if you have retail outlets in USA) they will put your build together for you usually for about 50 bucks. Last build I saw from them had really nice cable management and such, so that might be an option for you.
