i7 6700K or i7 5820K? [SOLVED]

How's it going guys, wanted to get some feedback from you. I am debating between the two mentioned processors right now. The PC will be used for gaming, streaming, watching movies, and general PC stuff like surfing the net and school work online etc.

I started to dig some more and it seems either route would cost about the same, so just wanted to get some feedback.

5820K, no question. Better right now, and more future proof (more PCI-e lanes, more memory capacity, etc...).

I would deffinitley opt in for the 6 core. I believe the X99 platform will have a much longer life cycle.

Thanks to those who responded. I decided to go with the 5820 K due to the minute difference between it and Skylake.
