I7 4790k temps

I got a h105 liquid cooler and a i7 4790k at stock clock i have 30c idle temps and around 45c while gaming and when i tested it with Aida 64 and at 100% load i got 70c i have read lots of things about these temps being too hot with liquid cooling so i reseated the cooler and reapplied some arctic sliver 5 and i got the same temps with this card are these temps normal or should i RMA the cooler?

To compare results with others you would have to have similar room temperatures and overall system configuration. 45C when gaming sounds awesome and almost nothing real world will stress the CPU as heavily as a synthethic stability test. I don't see what the grounds for an RMA would be a this point.

You dont have to RMA your cooler.

Those temps are totaly normal.

Yeah Temps are good. I think we all have that misconception when we first invest in water cooling of some sort that our highs will drop to the mid 30's and idle at 15 degrees Celsius. We also forget how ambient temps effect the cooling of the radiator as well. That's how I felt anyways.

Yeah i just assumed the difference between air and water would be huge but i guess not.

Its not that big indeed.

Watercoolers are basicly still get cooled due air lol :p

Always wanted to do two h105i with a karkan g10 and use a extra 140mm fan on the gpu as back up for the comparators
