My secondary system is still rocking a 2700k @4.8ghz on air. (it can hit 5ghz but causes weirdness in windows)
Paired with OC FuryX.
No bottlenecks
Sandybridge (when OC'd) is still a very compelling chip (assuming it's cheap to pick one up with a board). The only downside is the lack of features modern day systems have now like PCIe NVME SSD, Type-c TB, etc
Even Luke's personal rig is still running a 2700k iirc.
