I have a dell laying around with a 2600. I was thinking I could have all my canera shit and gane streams go to that box, be saved to it and cloned to the nas, and then all I’d have to do is open a folder or a closet to get my footage that day, and not have it all be scattered all over the damn place.
I just have concerns if it will be powerful enough. I don’t have anything 1080p, 1680x1050 is as big as I go, would I have issues?
Would a quadro be enough? I recently saw a 745gt with 4gb vram for sale. Would that work?

Edit; quadro wise I have an fx3800 on hand, but the first one from 04. I can get newer ones, but the best I can do is either a k2000 ir an m2000. Nothing super crazy
