I am looking to upgrade from my fx 6300 and gtx 770 to an i5 6600k and gtx 1070 for gaming and VR in the future. Just wanted to know if the 6600k would be a good choice.
Yeah the 6600k should be enough. New games including vr arent very cpu bound so even my 4690k should be fine. Whats much more important is the gpu but the 1070 is a good choice there
6600K is a very capable chip for that kind of workload. And 4.5GHz is a pretty standard OC on those with adequate cooling. So you will be fine for a while.
