I5 6500 for a used parts build?

Hey guys, as stated in the title I am trying to get my hands on some used parts to game at 1080p. I found a guy that is willing to sell me an Intel i5 6500 and motherboard block, plus a gtx 960 for 200€.
I already have a PSU, case and storage so all I have to get is 8gb of ram and I am done.

Are those good parts to shoot for? Do you guys think there are better buys in the used market from a CPU standpoint?
I am from Italy when the market for used parts is pretty shallow so keep that in mind.

Beats my Kavari + gtx 770 which is my main gaming setup.
Going from memory but when Skylake came out some motherboards used ddr3 and some used ddr4 so that is something to look out for.

That price is fairly good depending on condition. Check it posts before paying or agree a return process. The 6th gen intel chips are basically identical architecture to the current 10th gen, same process node, so most features are the same as a brand new board.

Note for very modern AAA games a quad core will be maxed out but should still be playable with a 960 at 1080p 60Hz. You know it hasn’t been overclocked because it can’t and a 960 Is not a mining card.

If it gets you online and gaming then go for it!

It is a full DDR4 mobo, I checked. Thanks for the heads up.

That was my main concern but I guess that maxing out is better than non gaming at all
