Hello Tek Syndicate,
I'm about to purchase an i5-4690k and a MSI Z97S SLI PLUS, but Newegg informs me of this:
But it states "OEM / Retail" without actually stating what the CPU I'm getting is. I don't want OEM because the difference in warranties and the potential lack of heatsink and fan. This is for my little brother, too, so I don't want there to be any increased hassle in case of return.
I purchased a i5-4670k from Newegg last year in January and never got this warning. How can I purchase my CPU as a definite retail CPU?
Thank you for reading and for the help!

Retail version for cheaper
Hello,
I have never purchased at Superbiiz (and currently doesn't allow me to put things in the cart). Are their RMA/Returns like Newegg and if not, is there no way to get retail from Newegg? I don't mind paying the extra cash for the CPU.
Thank you for the response!
Superbiiz is a great company... I've not had any problems purchasing from them... they clearly list that as a Retail version CPU and Newegg's Retail version pointed me to the link you've attempted to purchase from... I don't know if the RMA p[olicy is exactly like Newegg as I've never had to return anything to Superbiiz, but that speaks to itself... it's a Google recognized company and they back it with their lawyers if you really have trouble with them :) ..... I'd say definitely save the $20
Hello,
I have an account on Superbiiz but it doesn't allow me to purchase anything (empty cart). Googling the problem found no solutions. I checked for "confirm to verify your account" emails directly from the site just in case, but nothing was there.
Also thank you for taking the time to figure out if the link I gave is the retail version, I appreciate that. :)
Thank you for the help,

It was Firefox being a spaz. Carts work in Internet Explorer and Chrome. Odd. Alright then, purchasing the hardware from Superbiiz now! Thank you for all the help! The 20$ can go towards a new case or something. :)
Good luck on the build, glad you saved $20! :)
Hello,
It is already passed processing and is in "Released for Distribution" (which I assume tracking is next). Literally a minute later from the purchase. That is insane. Way faster than Newegg!
I think you just made me a Superbiiz customer. :)
Thanks again!
It's a very good company... I like Newegg too, but if something's cheaper from Superbiiz or Tigerdirect... they are equally qualified :P
