I5 4670K, temps 4.4GHz

Just interested in the temps people are getting with their I5 4670K under load?

as well as the overclock you are achieving.

I've mine @4.6 with 1.210 V. During gaming load temps are around 60C and rendering around 70-75C. Idle is around 35-40C. This is on an aircooler though.

Noctua NH-D 14, 4.4 GHz on all cores and cache, 1.205V

When gaming it's usually at 46°C - 52°C, idle is close to ambient (27°C - 29°C) with stress tests (100% on all cores for 2+ hours) it gets to 68°C maximum.

I tried going for 4.5 GHz and 4.6 GHz, both worked out fine when I bumped up the voltages a tiny bit more. Although I left it at 4.4 GHz in the end, it's nice and cool and fast enough for my needs.

i7 4770k 4.7ghz 1.26V ~70C aida64 (nh-d14), I did 4.8ghz but i need 1.3V for that sadly . i'm on a h87 board so i think 4.7ghz is pretty awesome. normal use is 4.5ghz on 1.205V. it's around 45c while gaming.

i'm now on intel hd4600 graphics and the temps are a bit higher especially i turned the mhz up on the gpu, it think it was 1900mhz but that's really high, it was a preset on my motherboard. it was on 1.3V for the gpu and 4.5ghz 1.205V for the cpu. it got 75C while playing bf4 on low settings 1080p (25-40fps in the test range). latency was bouncing from 10-120ms.8gb 1600mhz btw so there is more room for performance

cool seems like i am getting the exact same temps under load, was just wondering how far i can push it and whether it is worth it, as I do not want to push the temps up too much.. 4.4GHz for now seems pretty great for my needs, but if i ever need to go higher its reassuring that the temps scare me just yet. and that I have some thermal head room. just have to get a little better at overclokcing.

the latency jump is because of the ram speed, in combination with your igpu indeed. igpu´s perform alot better with highspeed ram.

oh oke thanx. i have 2x4gb crucial balistix 1600mhz 8-8-8-14 but i have saw someone oc them to 2500mhz+. sadly the motherboard only supports 800-1600mhz ram. do you now how to get that higher?

Well you could try to overclock your ram. but its a bit of a question, on how far you motherboard with H87 chipset is limited to that. Which board do you have?

Your best bett will be getting a dedicated GPU someday. you will get much more performance, and ram speed does not matter with a dedicated gpu. because a gpu has its own vram.

ASRock h87 performance which i love! you recommend it:). i have a broken r9 270 and i hope i get a new one. if i don't get a new one i buy a r9 290 probably. i only need to play tf2 and cubeworld with the igpu. tf2 is fine but cubeworld runs like shit sadly.

4.8GHz, 50C max on full load.

watercooled? or you live in Russia:)

Runnin' that liquid.

Ah yeah you right, haha your the Fatal1ty guy.

Anyway the igpu sucks for gaming anyway. its better so save up for a better gpu, like you was planning in your other thread, a R9-290 ☺

i legit play bf4 60fps 720p in windowed. 720p sucks but in windowed mode it's good. cubeworld still doesn't work which is weird. r9 290 looks good but i have a 528watt 12V psu and i might get a new r9 270:)

what kindof water cooling set up are you running Phantom?
